After the tempest, we continued on the Natchez Trace towards Jackson where we visited the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. A 'must see' and a confronting exhibit. Leaving Mississippi and entering Louisiana we've met a fabulous couple, Skip and Karen, who invited us at their home in Madisonville. Not only they served us the local Crawfish boil but they also went with us to New Orleans via the longest bridge. The stay with Skip and Karen was an unique experience and we learned a lot about the US. We want to thank them for their hospitality and friendship. After two relaxing days we ended our trip at the Lake End Park Campground. Lots of swamps, beautiful nature, floating houses and lots of sun and fun.
Thanks to the visitor center we discovered, to our surprise, that Tabasco is produced on Avery Island in Louisiana so had to visit the factory. A great experience which we ended with a nice Bloody Mary. Tabasco will never be the same again!
Today's last aim was to do a swamp tour. Champagne Cajun Swamp Tour (Breaux Bridge) proposed to do this tomorrow morning and offered to camp in their garden right at the border of the lake. An offer we couldn't refuse.
