Day 229

After saying goodbye to Jaak and Mieke, we rented a car to continue the last days of our journey in North America.

First we’ve paid a visit to Toronto, a nice developing city with a multicultural positive vibe. The most unique was the mix between the small old houses and the new design of the high-rise.

As we were eager to go back to nature, we decided to drive to Muskoka; 160km north of Toronto. It was a very beautiful region especially with combination of the fall colors and the lakes.

We stayed for 3 nights at the B&B ‘Bright Fall and Breakfast’ of the fantastic couple Angela and Guillermo and their black labrador Luna. We were again at the right time at the right stop, as we could enjoy the Canadian famous Bala Cranberry Festival! A unique festival combined with the harvest of the cranberries.

The rest of our time, we spent hiking in the wonderful and colorful nature of Muskoka.

These 3 days soften our inevitable return to Europe, but nevertheless we are currently at the airport, waiting on our flight to London from where we will drive home.
